Chill Zhuo Kai
Chill Zhuo Kai (寒蝉拙楷体) is a free calligraphy style Chinese font you can download. It was created generatively using a tool called zi2zi-JiT, based on an open-sourced Japanese font called Yuji Syuku, by expanding the simplified and traditional Chinese characters. The creator, Warren2060 used another popular open-sourced font, Source Han Serif, as character structure reference for the program to study and generate those characters. Besides that, the creator also made adjustments to the characters so in overall the letters are more balanced and harmonious, especially when mixing the Latin with the Asian characters.
The result is a elegant, well balanced calligraphy font completed with a whopping 16000+ glyphs, that supports Chinese (both simplified and traditional), Japanese, Cyrillic and Latin characters. The letters retained the calligraphy characteristics but not overly expressive, and it exudes warmth and friendliness. It works great as body type and also as logo and word mark. You can download this font for free and be used on commercial projects, as it’s released under SIL Open Font License.
