Fashion Bitmap 16
Fashion Bitmap 16 (流行點陣體16) is a free, open source bitmap font adapted for Traditional Chinese use. The font is derived from the Japanese bitmap font series KH Dot Font: Kabutocho 16, reworked and extended by the creator to better serve Traditional Chinese environments. Several punctuation marks were corrected from Japanese conventions, and additional characters were added to improve everyday usability.
The result is a font with a strong retro pixel-art aesthetic, making it a natural fit for pixel art, game-related themes, retro UI design, and any project that calls for that distinctive low-resolution bitmap charm. Other than Traditional Chinese characters, it supports Latin, Cyrillic and Japanese kana characters too. You can download this font for free and be used on personal and commercial projects, as it was released under SIL Open Font License.
Usage Permission
- Free for personal and commercial use. No notification to the author is required.
- Released under SIL Open Font License, v1.1.
- Redistribution and bundling with other software is permitted, provided the license file (OFL.txt) is included.
- Modifications and derivative works are permitted, provided they are released under the same SIL OFL license, and the reserved font names (FashionBitmap16, 流行點陣體16, 流行点阵体16) are not used.
- Selling of this font as a standalone product is prohibited.
