Child Fun Sans

Child Fun Sans (游趣体) is a free simplified Chinese font that emits youthfulness and playfulness. It was modified from Stick, a hosted open-sourced Japanese font from Fontworks JP available on Google Fonts. The author, Des Magmeta, modified the font by adding Simplified Chinese characters to fulfill the need for this character style input.
This font continues to carry the original design features of the font, where the strokes are made of straight lines mostly, or you can say it resembles bamboo-like joint construct. For some reason, some of the latin alphabets reminds me of the bamboo tiles in mahjong. However, the author warned that he didn’t spend much time to refine those new characters where it might look a little bit ugly and disjointed from the original character set, but on the higher level, he did a great job in translating the look and feel, plus he will continue to improve this font.
As the name of the font suggests, this font brings out the fun, youthfulness, playfulness and that nature happiness. It works well for designs that wanted to bring out such feelings. It’s free to download and be used on any projects. Besides Chinese characters, it supports Greek, Cyrillic, Latin and more too.

To download, visit the page above and click on the “Code” button to reveal the popover. Click on the “Download Zip” to download the font. The font can be found in the Fonts folder inside the ZIP. Inside the folder, you may find two font files: “ChildFundSans.ttf” is the complete character set version, while “ChildFunSans-CHS.ttf” has only Simplified Chinese characters with some modification on some characters. I would recommend to install the complete version. In Adobe Photoshop, the font is selectable with the name “Child Fun Sans”.
